Beginning with a world music radio show at the age of sixteen, his love of music and the art of DJing have earned him countless performances at universities, restaurants, lounges, nightclubs, and fundraisers around his home in North Carolina and to destinations around the world including London and Ibiza, and to events including the Miami Winter Music Conference. ; A classically-trained vocalist as a child, he performed in such locations as Notre Dame (Paris), St. <span class="il">Paul</span>'s Cathedral (London), and at Wake Forest University, singing backup for renowned poet Maya Angelou during the musical premier of her presidential inaugural poem, “On The Pulse of Morning.” ; While earning his Masters in Liberal and Latin American Studies at Duke and Oxford Universities, he studied both ethnomusicology and music history. Steven's exposure to so many diverse genres contribute to his unique DJ style, which often includes salsa, s Louie Vega, Bob Marley, Miles Davis, Rob Da Bank, Dennis Ferrer, Mark Farina, Bruno from Ibiza, Jon Sa Trinxa, Manu Chao, Riva Starr, Nicodemus, Sabo, and many more!
